calling all creatives

Ladies and gents. We are not bums. We are not lazy, without talent, incapable of interacting properly in a controlled social setting, or unqualified. We are neither heathens nor harlots. We eat no different, speak no different and think no different than those working in the high rise building you pass while getting your coffee in the afternoon. In fact, I would argue, we are more innovative, have more guts, see more glory and fight with faster fists than those occupying the 75th floor with a lake view! We are f(*$@ing)Unemployed. We know how to create. How to have laugh, how to enjoy the beach while everyone else is stuck in slacks and skirts and shoes and neck ties! We are the fUnemployed and we are a part of society too.

I hope to use this space as an influential hub for creative work done by creative individuals
across the globe. We start in Chicago.

As a designer, writer and musician, I have found myself
at freelance jobs, odd jobs, agency jobs and just plain shitty jobs to make rent,
pay my loans, eat food and get a beer or two every now and again.
I have now found that I am currently unemployed. After beating myself up
about it, I began going back to what I loved to do; I began creating.

Songs, sculpture, short films, typographic tid-bits, and much more.... and found myself, happier!
This is a place to show those talents.

Perhaps a big wig will stumble upon this and realize a little spark has left them for too long,
that spark, my friends, is humanity. It is what drives us to think and interact and love and learn.
Money is a necessity in our culture now, but humanity appears to have been thrown out the window.

I ask you, all you Creative Directors and Art Directors and any other director out there...
why not give some people a chance. What have you got that we don't.

If you cant beat em, join em. If they wont let you in, break down the door.

Start by sending what you create, and we can post it up.

Create. Converge. Care.
